Recharge battery for DX6 transmitter

I ordered a rechargeable battery that Horizon Hobby sales person said it would fit my DX6 but when I got the instructions out and read them it says NOT FOR DX6 does anyone know for sure if it can be used for the DX6?

Could depend on which version DX6... There are a few. (I've lost track)

FF gliders and rubber power since 1966, CL 1970-1990, RC since 1975.

current planes from 1/2 oz to 22 lbs
