  • Electric planes

I had a childhood friend that was into rc planes and would like to start the hobby myself. I'm currious if some of the electric trainers are a good place to start or should I go straight to the real deal? Seems to get a good gas trainer and all of the things I would need to go along with it I would be spending roughly $5-600 (maybe more). There are many electric planes that are ready to fly or almost ready to fly that you can get for $2-300. I don't remember seeing these 15+ years ago though. Would like some opinions on the best route to get started. Thanks

Welcome to Hobby Squawk, it's best to get a trainer like the Apprentice or the Dynam Primo and a good radio (Spektrum DX6 Gen2 or better) to get started.
