Has anyone noticed any negative effects from installing the leading edge slats on a UMX Timber?

My wife and I have had them installed from day 1. They both fly great and the slats really help with STOL.

I have them on mine and no issues. I mostly hand launch mine and at full power, I just let go of the plane and it starts flying. When flying off the water, I don't use any flaps since it just leaps into the air with the slats installed.

I use the timber L.E. slats on my Tundra. The slats I feel give better STOL performance than w/o them. Slats in combo with flaps set at approx. 45 degrees and about 5mph wind and I do my part will result in a 1.5 rollout

Put them on and dont look back They work great. Maybe lose a little inverted perfomrance and slower roll rate, but lets be honest, not designed as an acrobatic plane any ways. Definate improvement with STOL
