    RE: Dynam line

There is one big issue I do have , Dynam retracts leave a bit to be desired. I have got in today actually, the upgrade retract that has metal trunion . But I need to drill the hole out to hold the struts for my FW-190 . Emailed MRC and was told , per Martin , to go ahead . Let you know how it goes.
Seen a lot of people complaining about the gear on the F6F , but I still want one .

I to will replace the gears with the metal trunnions as I am going to do with my Spitfire I just received.

        Greetings Guys,

I have had no issues to date (and I just returned from the field) and I will ride the stock gear for as long as that should last.
However, if/when they do go, I too will upgrade.

I checked the upgrade with metal and they are much tighter than stock . The slop is gone . Got three pairs in Thursday and I going to start with the FW-190 .

              Greetings Hippie,

What did you end up getting and did you get them through MRC?

Seems to me I didn't see too much offered in the retract section.

I got them from MRC.  They can be found under the up grade section for each Dynam plane.  I ordered seven and working on replacing the ones on my new Spitfire.  I will add a little shim to the rear gears to help prevent nose over.  This small mod works well on the tail dragers.

                    RE: Dynam line

Unfortunately, these retracts are not listed as an upgrade to the Corsair, which features the same rotating retract feature as the F-6f ad the P-40. The upgrade retract therefore would not work with the Hellcat or the Corsair unless the trunnion is compatible with the 90 degree rotation these planes need. There are two other options for the Corsair and Hellcat however, but both are pricey. The new style rotating retracts designed for the FMS 1400mm V3 Corsair are a drop in fit and very strong. You would just need to add appropriate struts and covers to them, say from the 1400mm FMS Hellcat and your Dynam F6f is ready for anything.

The other option is the RC Landers 90 degree rotating retracts and RC Lander designed A-10 oleo struts (for the LX Models A-10 jet). These are the correct length, 125mm, for the Dynam wheel wells. Both these conversions were pioneered by others on the RC Groups thread for the Dynam Hellcat. I am going with the RC Landers as I already had a set of the retracts. I will report back when I get them sorted out.

I can second Bill on the Dynam F6F. I have been flying mine for a while now, and it is a great flying plane. I have had no issues with the retracts either and probably have a dozen or so flights in, mostly on grass, but lately have been using asphalt which does make for a much smoother landing.

So far you should see things like a proper bolt on prop shaft and proper forward/reverse servos for flaps. Simple things that make life with Dynam planes better.

                                  Greetings Tom,

That's a great line-up and at present I'm in favor of improving what they have over new offerings.

Hopefully, when it is time to offer new products the improvements will surely carry over.

                                  Well Done,

Our old school math hasn't changed for this inquiry of yours but if you are having a ol' timers moment let me assist with my chemo brain analogy.
4 days ago on July 15, Tom indicated that 6 different models of the Dynam lineup were about 6 weeks away. OK, two weeks remain in July from the 15th plus 4 weeks in Aug which is a total of 6 weeks for an end of Aug ETA. No more sabbaticals for you TEACH !!!!
