  • Suggestions please?

Hello all, wonder if a few of you could make a few suggestions please. What I am looking for is a good gentle flying plane that is small enough to fit in a hatchback car, probably with less than a 45" wing that I can throw to launch and is not quite as blinding fast as an edf. Just something small I can throw in the car to bring to a field with no runway and have a nice flight from time to time. And of course I would like to purchase said plane/planes from our motion rc. Thank you in advance for your advice. ;)
Two things a pilot can waste, the sky above him and the runway behind him.

I found the Freewing Spirit Racing Glider to be easy to hand launch and fun to fly. It can be flown at glide slowly, or fast for fun. At $99, it is worth it.

If your looking for one for gentle flying and safe I would suggest the sport cub s. Good for flying in small areas and easy to transport

I will check those out. Thank you. I like the sport cub but grass may be too high for gear. But thos tires look big. Maybe a long driveway would work.

I was able to take off with the sport cub s from the tail of my Silverado. I mean the fold down tail part I didn't even need the rest of the bed it uses that little room lol

            RE: Suggestions please?

            Greetings,

I would also recommend the Sport Cub based on the parameters to provided,

If desired, the Sport Cub can be in the air in less than two feet of runway, driveway, street, whatever.
Same thing when landing as it has little to no stall characteristics and can be harrier landed if desired (with a bit of wind).

I know a lot of pilots that constantly have this plane in their trunks for those sudden "what a great day to fly" moments.

Caution...... I don't know where you're located but regardless where you are, don't keep any plane in a trunk or a back seat if exposed to direct sunlight or on very hot days. Prolonged exposure to high heat will cause your planes foam beads to expand and your beautiful plane will end up looking like a pimple-ball!!! (Do they still make those?) Be sure to keep it covered (this deters thieves as well).

            Best of luck

Thank you all, I am in Louisiana, so hot sunlight is common, but I am extremely careful about leaving things in the car. Ive looked at these planes a little and like what I see.
