I'm sticking with the Cat. All terrain, did more for spotting enemy shipping in WWII pacific than any other plane, not too mention countless rescues. Besides, I think the B-29 would be a difficult subject due to it's long ass wingspan and narrow tubular fuse. It would have to be huge to be the least bit impressive. Imagine Motion's first warbird floatplane with retracts and folding wing pontoons!!

"By George! I think You've Got It Old Chap!"... It's a new Catalina! With landing gear and she's biggie sized! Just have to find out if the old PBY did 5 historic sightings. I know a big one was the spotting of The Bismarck. That's 1 "eye" out of Five Eyes....

Just wondering if a reference page could be added to the start listing all of the mind teasing and obscure breadcrumbs left by the Alpha and should it also list planes guessed? Seems like this could be useful. Just a thought

On 7 December 1941, before the Japanese amphibious landings on Kota Bharu, Malaya, their invasion force was approached by a Catalina flying boat of No. 205 Squadron RAF. The aircraft was shot down by five Nakajima Ki-27 fighters before it could radio its report to air headquarters in Singapore.^[18] Flying Officer Patrick Bedell, commanding the Catalina, and his seven crew members became the first Allied casualties in the war with Japan.^[19]

A flight of Catalinas spotted the Japanese fleet approaching Midway Island, beginning the Battle of Midway.^[20]

A Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Canso flown by Squadron Leader L.J. Birchall foiled Japanese plans to destroy the Royal Navy's Indian Ocean fleet on 4 April 1942 when it detected the Japanese carrier fleet approaching Ceylon (Sri Lanka).^[21]

WOW! There Ya Go! You have "transmogrified" the old information into the new century by adding the lost stories that made the Catalina such a bugger to deal with. Hopefully, it all means something. Alpha and the Motion Gang are really stellar at keeping things distant from prying eyes...

I think the P3 Orion had 5 crew and fit's into the reconnaissance role. Would probably be a good flyer but wouldn't have a very large target audience. I wonder if the five countries of FVEY all use a common aircraft that would fit........

Hawkeye fits the bill. Would be cool to see one with a folding wing option

I would jump all over a large scale fully operating PBY5A. Being blessed with lots of water in PA, I have several places to fly one.
Not sure that a PBY fits ...my opinion... of Five Eyes but it’s a personal favorite none the less.

Would you be flying at Brady's Run Lake? Most of the places in my neck of the woods have restrictions in the parks and I'd be afraid to lose it in the Mon or Yough.

While I have a couple friends that have flown floats at Brady’s Run, there is currently no County level agreement to do that. Brush Creek Park is the designated site as I’m the one who put that all together in recent years, however there is no float plane site there. I would use the Beaver River as a preferred local spot and also the South Beach area of Morain State Park in the off season as that has also been used in the past. I would also load one of my kayaks on the truck as a rescue boat just in case. There is a nice spot on the Ohio River locally.

Back in 1982 on the USS Independence I was working the flight deck, on one of our A6E Intruders wrapping up a bleed air valve change when an E2-C taxied by and lined up on catapult 2. Jet blast deflector comes up, she’s hooked and goes to high power for the launch. The JBD kinda diverted the hurricane force winds my way and things just went to hell. I stepped on the tool box to keep it from flying away and tools just started getting blown out of it like they were made of plastic.., not to mention I was like three sheets in the wind. All marvelously funny to my shipmates who witnessed it as they were laughing their butts off. Just another day on deck!

They all flew the t-6, and they were know to be finicky
