Ah! Reminds me of those holidays on alert with the Air Force Tankers. Happy 4th to everyone and my fellow vets.

          RE: Happy Independence Day

          Happy 4th to all.
Just got back from the Cody Parade.  Believe it or not, Cody is in the top 4 places in the nation to spend the 4th of July at.
This parade is huge, and we have parades for two days prior to that.  The town was packed with people from every State and Canada and a bunch of European and Asian countries.  Truly international.  Had the Budweiser Clydesdales here, too cool!
Back in the air tomorrow morning and looks as if I'll have Monday off as well.  Then all Hell is breaking loose, so I may be working a few weekends.

Just too warm right now, in the 90's and we're at 5000+ feet, so its not worth the risk.

          Thanks to all the veterans!!
We have the B17, the B24 and the P51B here this weekend, so I'll be off to visit them this evening.

Most excellent for you Bill, about time you start getting back your good weather.

The weather here was overcast, chilly and rainy so I couldn't fly so I spent the day getting the Skyraider near completion. It just looks so mean with that 4 blade 17" prop.

Here it is before canopy and decals just to see its size with wing on.

5 hrs to do canopy and decals but it represents my squadron 15 years prior to my service with them on A6's.

Happy 4th and proud to be a vet.
              Best Regards,

                Greetings OV10,

WoW! What a transformation with the canopy and decals!!!

                That is really looking good!

When that big 4-blade fires up you better hold on to your hat......
That should really sound cool on a fly-by.

                Looking forward to the maiden.....

Wow, you did a really nice job on that Skyraider! Very impressive. That was from the Seagull kit? Be sure to let us know how she flies once you get that maiden flight in. Happy 4th to all you guys.

Wow Bill, flying the flag looks pretty cool! How did you set that up to fly from your plane? Is it attached to the tail, and is there a specific type of lead that keeps the flag straight?

                          Loneflier,
Good eye, yes it is a Seagull kit. Powering it with FMS 1400 Pitts Biplane motor. The prop, landing gear and retracts are from the FMS 1700 Corsair. I've got several VQ birds like the Dauntless and P-39 that are powered and propped with FMS 1400 sized equipment. Really like FMS stuff, just wish they would quit discontinuing staple 1400 sized warbirds.
