  • Freewing f-22 and stinger 64

This isn't a really important question so if no one has an exact answer then it's fine. After watching some videos on the f-22, I'm guessing it's top speed with the recommended 4s 2200 35c battery is around 70 mph or so (based off knowing the top speed of the f9f panther is 65mph). I'm going to be using a 4s 2500 50c and I was wondering if anyone knows the top speed I should be getting.

Same question for the stinger 64. With the 4s 2200 35c recommended battery it's supposed to get to 85-90 mph and I'll be using 4s 2500 50c. What do you guys think the top speed would be?

Jordan, I have the Freewing F-22 and I put in a Don's Wicked 4 cell motor setup and I clocked my plane with landing gear and using a 4S 2200 55c battery at 70mph. It doesn't scream but it sure is fun to fly since I upgraded from the 3 cell setup. My vertical though is so much better lots of thrust. I think a custom thrust tube would be the thing to get a little more speed out of it. I am cutting mine open this weekend.....i'll keep you posted.

      Hi Jordan,

I have had the best experience with HIGH C Rating Lipos, for EDF its a must, i would go with the 50c lipos, it wont change the top speed but will give u the extra burst when you need it like going vertical. I also have a Stinger64 with Don's setup and i use the motionrc 2200mah 4s 45c rating, and i would say i get around 100mph.
      thats with a plane launcher.
      hope that helps
