    Big Ooops Evening

This afternoon, first time I've got to fly since May and Never seen it before, but the steel post holding the fixture for the lights at the sports complex moved over in front of my Stearman during a fly by. At about 100' she nosed in to the asphalt. Lucky, no spectators in stands.

FAA said it appears a head on, no indents on leading edge of top wing.

Top wing broke free, prop broke, landing gear separated from fuselage, lower wing fractures.

Nothing a little gorilla and about an hour's time can't fix.

It was an enjoyable 7 to 8 minutes. Wind calm, temp 85. Partly cloudy.

    No pilot error suspected.

I started out with nothing, and still have most of it.  :)

Don't you just hate it when they do that.

Poles , trees , Gremlins, they all take control. Just jumping out of nowhere and snatching planes to their doom .

I know the feeling.  I just know that if there's anything in front of me at all, the plane will take off and head straight for it.  CRAZY!
