Can anyone tell me how to keep all of my planes from going to full throttle if you forget and turn off transmitter before unplugging the battery. It is crazy. None of my other radios does this. I have set a switch to turn off throttle when the plane is plugged in and radio is on and that works. Even with this switch turned off if you unplug battery first get ready to be hurt. HELP!

What radio were you using ? As far as I know, which is not much , the throttle up thing is pretty much all radios . I do know that some of the Dynam RTF planes come with a throttle safe switch but it's for that plane only . What I mean is it's a single plane radio only .

I may be wrong about everything I just said but that's been my experience.

      Hey VS56,

I have the Tactic 650 and its been my experience that with all radios if you turn off the radio before unplugging the battery, you loose the signal to the receiver and the esc control is lost and the plane goes to full throttle. I believe that most radios do have a safety where as if you plugged the battery in and you have the throttle in any position but off,it will not arm until you put the throttle in the off or closed position. You just have to establish a mental checklist and it will become a good habit. Good luck and good flying!

The check  list is the best way to go.  Develop a safe starting and off routine.  Starting----> radio on, plug in battery; off -----> unplug battery, turn off radio.  After a while, this becomes a habit.

I have Spektrum Tx/Rx setups in my planes. If you accidently turn off the transmitter with the battery still hooked up. the motor does not run.  Spektrum refers to this as their SmartSafe failsafe system.

I have spectrum radio's. They wont do that unless..You bind the with throttle trim not all the way down or you reverse the throttle and forget to bind it back. I don't know why you would reverse the throttle on an electric though. I suggest you make sure your throttle is all the way down including your trim and rebind. See if that helps
