  • Freewing stock

Hey MRC hope you all had a great Labor Day !

I noticed the Freewing container has been added to inventory, but still no new motor mounts for the Texan . Are they still having machining problems?

Hey Lon, Its the type C shaft for the AT6 Texan. Seems to be the odd one as the p51 and others take type D. I have an extra one from the FMS Zero, and if the Freewing parts don't show up soon, I'm gonna see if I can make it work.
I need to tame the Texan. Landings have proven to be a challenge!

As an Advance Trainer the full size AT6 was set up to be a bear on the ground. You can correct a lot of this by rocking the retract so the gear strut points further forward. Putting some shims (0.020 to 0.032" thick washers) under the retract's rear mounting holes should accomplish this. This adjustment should still allow the wheels to fit in the wing opening.

I have found that most of these PNP models have way too much tail wheel response. If you can, but the tail wheel push rod as close to the center of the servo.

            RE: Freewing stock

We likely have all these parts in the warehouse ('ve not looked at the specifics). We received containers for FMS, Freewing, and Dynam all in the same week so our guys are a little backed up getting everything organized and put away. We just completed the FMS spare parts. They will start on Freewing and Dynam spare parts this week. Once they are all sorted, accounted for, and put away, they will show up as "in stock" on our site. This may take at least another week. We have more help coming. We are hiring at least 2 more employees next week. Thanks for your patience and we certainly apologize for the out of stock parts.

Freewing AT6. I want to use this gray version to reflect a actual plane in a local museum but I need to remove the decals that are supplied with the parts. Does anyone know of a way to remove them without destroying the gray paint underneath.
