Hi friends just wanted to post this to help anyone with the same issue and maybe can save you a few bucks. After 218 flights!!!!! I was preparing for take-off when all of a sudden the aircraft started winding like something was internally wrong with the motor it was running fine just was screaming, decided to abort the flight, after checking it out I decided to order new motor. When the new motor arrived I swapped them out and was all pumped to go until I hocked up the battery and fired it up, same  winding sound??? Then I had to order new esc, installed after receiving and noise was gone. But already shelled out 55 bucks for new motor, hopefully this will help someone out. By the way just can't say enough about this plane just keeps on ticking Love it.

218!? You actually kept count? I wish I had the foresight to do that!!
Not sure how many flights are on mine but I've been flying the heck out of it all summer and everything is still original. I especially like the retracts. They have been working flawlessly since day one!

Thanks for the heads up with the esc

Hi Captain just to let you know that I have an app on my phone and when you use the timer it will log your flights and also keep track of your batteries as well sometimes I forget to use it but now its almost habit. This airplane is a work horse!! PS the Pandora has over 250 flights on her and it still keeps on ticking. But my FMS 1400 T-28 is getting to be my favorite Take care

                    Hi Glen:

Welcome to the forum,as far as the E-flite Dallas Doll is concerned the airplane is a tank, it flies like its on rails, its supper tuff and keeps on ticking, the landing gear has never been an issue with over 200 flights I highly recommend this airplane.  The only tuff  decision is that E-flite has introduced a slightly larger version called  Blondie, there isn't to much on the forum about the new one but I would think that it's going to be as good or better than Dallas Doll. The extra size is definitely a plus.  Can't wait to get my hands on one!!!!! :D

I got the maiden on my Dallas Doll today 7to10 mph direct crosswind. It was pretty much a nonevent 3 clicks down trim and done. This plane is really easy to fly. I did change the prop out after the first flight the 4 blade did have good climb but just a tad slow for me. The 4 blade also uses more battery quicker. Didn't use the flaps on landings she is really floaty into the wind. The as3x does help settle it down on cross wind landings and take offs. I'm also going to move the ailerons up one hole on the aileron tab end the role rate is a touch slow for me. This is a great flying plane I would recommend it to anyone with some low wing experience up to an experienced flyer.

There were a couple of Dallas Doll P51's at NEFI, they handled the wind excellently, I was really impressed!
