  • binding transmitter to receiver

I am new at this and have a question on binding after a battery recharge.
I have to rebind the TX and RX. Is this common or am I doing something wrong?

I've only been in the hobby for a little over 2 years. But have not seen or heard any discussion on this before. thinking someone with more experience may have some input on this.

Definitely not common but need more details to help, like what radio system, procedure you're using, etc. Oh, and welcome to the forum!

I generally have to shut off the radio and turn back on with a battery change. The general consensus is you do not have to do this, but I usually have issues if I don't. I have a DX9 radio and use primarily Spektrum receivers.

You should not have to rebind after a battery change, you are not leaving the bind plug in the receiver every time are you? Once the receiver is bound you need to remove it. If you are not leaving it in then you need to contact HorizonHobby Tech support, there may be an issue with the radio. http://www.horizonhobby.com/content/support-render-contact-us

            Hello retired,
The general consensus is absolutely spot on. Would strongly recommend contacting Spektrum. I have a DX8 and DX9 and use nothing but these Spektrum receivers(AR400, AR600 and 610, AR8000 and AR7200BX) and have never had that issue. My Transmitter is on the whole time when at the field which averages about 5 hrs. Something isn't right with your DX9. Good luck with solving its quirky issue.
