  • Tech One Air Titan...

This plane is on my "very interested" list. After watching the video, I believe this will be the next addition to my hangar. I really like the version with the LED's for our clubs' night flying evenings at our field. I am curious as to the illumination that is depicted in the pics & if this plane is really that bright. If so, it would definitely pique my interest as our field has no lighting other than the various lights brought to the field by members. I have seen no reports/postings regarding this model. Anyone here have one??? Thanks for any input.....

    RE: Tech One Air Titan...

Hi Denny, one of MotionRC's owners flies the Techone Titan as his personal night-fly plane. I can confirm that it lights up very brightly, more bright than any other LED'd PNP I've seen on the market. I love its size and am contemplating buying one as a club trainer to use for dusk flight orientation training.

I have a NIB Titan from TechOne squirreled away out in the garage/hangar. Looks like a workhorse of an airplane but I just haven't found time to get her assembled and in the air yet.

        Hey Bajora,
Thanks for the response. Seems that FMS has now come out with the new Firefly which also looks to be well lit. Now it becomes a choice to get the high-wing Titan, the low-wing Firefly, or just simply give in & get both. I like to read reports/postings/vids of each from a purchaser prior to making another investment as part of my "homework". I'm a bit wary of 1st releases until I see a model has proven its worth. My hangar is stuffed.....Hmmmmm. Decisions-Decisions-Decisions.

The Techone Air Titan is a big bright plane with great handling in a wider range of flight conditions. The smaller FMS Firefly will be great in more compact environments. I'm glad to see both to give us pilots more options at different sizes and pricepoints.
