  • FSK Models

I would love to see Motion become a distributer of the Flying Styro Kit (FSK) models: http://www.flyingstyrokit.com/index....te=common/home As of now, they have no US distributers. FSK models are some of the only foam models that could be easily confused for a static scale model, their finish and detail are incredible if you put the time in. For those who are builders, these are some of the best foam kits out there. I have their B-25 and Mosquito, and they fly as good as they look!

    RE: FSK Models

Great models for their time, I have a Corsair II (3 each), F-16 (4 each) and a few P-51s. The downside is that they are not durable and very susceptible to hanger rash. They are molded in a Depron like material (very brittle). Their saving grace is that they are light and as a result fly well. This is easily lost if one gets too carried away with the detail and finish.

As a flying scale modeler I would not place them in the great category. As a plastic static scale modeler I wouldn't even give them a second look compared with Hasegawa models and the like.

I love the FSK Mosquito and it is much closer to scale than the Freewing offering but at the current cost structure the Freewing is a much better aircraft and value. With a little work like cutting back the nose a nacelles the Freewing can look close to scale.

I'd rather see MotionRC grow their new brand FlightLineRC rather than reintroduce 20 year old models and technologies.

    All the best,
    Konrad
