  • Motion RC - RC Brands being reduced?

Why do I I see that Motion RC has only one FMS plane for sale, other than parts. Also seem to be missing E-flite planes, only some parts available. Do I now have to only deal with Horizon for any parts needed for my FMS, RocHobby and E-flite planes?

Lots of info on it in this thread: https://www.hobbysquawk.com/forum/el...-more-spektrum

One of the owners, Tom, gave a pretty detailed explanation.

Definitely read the other thread, it provides great insight. The short answer is Motion no longer carries Horizon or FMS products with the exception of a few remaining skus in the sale and clearance sections. The good news is the hard-working product development team at Motion RC are working tirelessly to fill the void created by the HH and FMS departure. They'll put me in the dog house if I say any more, so please stay tuned via Squawk, YouTube and our global email list.
      Exciting times ahead!

I saw you hint at something the other day on the Dynam thread as well. At the time I thought I may be reading too much into it.... but.... now it looks like there may be some pretty big news coming down the line!!

It's certainly understandable that Motion is stepping away from product lines that they have little developement and quality control over. It's hard to maintain the Gold Standard for customer service in those cases.

I look forward to seeing what the future brings for the hobby via Motion RC. There are several models from the Black Horse line that are on my "must have" list when they become available from Motion.

On the FMS/ROC Hobby side you can go here: http://www.fmsmodel.com/ . For E-flite there's this, but I don't know for sure that they're not another arm of Horizon the way Tower is: https://www.hobbyzone.com/

I still haven't repaired my eFlite Cherokee. If I end up needing spare parts for it, it's going to be a tough decision whether to continue supporting HH to buy them from Tower.

                  Tower is owned by HH.

And I just found out that my previous recommendation, Hobby Zone, is also owned by Horizon. That leaves indirectly, via your local hobby shop, or from some of the LHSs that have web pages.

Well, if we are filling out our Christmas wishlists...I would love to have a 1600mm P-40 War/Kittyhawk to go along with my FL Spitfire and FL Corsairs.
