Gil Hi, Gil, welcome home to Hobby Squawk! There are several ways to add lights to your airplane. To begin, please specify which airplane you have, so we know the size/electronics/carrying capacity and general arrangement of the model, and then tell us what kind of lighting you want to achieve. Scale lighting, non-scale lighting for night flying, or other goals. Depending on which plane you have and what effect you want to achieve, the answers we'd point you toward may differ.

I bought a GT led setup from Motion RC along with some landing lights.
I wanted to find something online with a “diy” video

Try plugging the servo lead into your receiver. Then the light wire's to the flashing unit. The grommets will hold the light in place. You'll need to put the landing lights on a door sequencer unit. You could run it through the gear channel 5. Looks like some soldering required.
