I was wondering what kind of foam the shipping boxes are made from that Freewing ships their jets in. Has anyone used it for anything for their planes or other models?

Shipping foam used to make spare parts?

I used the packing box that my AL-37 came in to make a stand for the plane since it’s the same shape as the fuselage. I used FoamTac to put it together. I think packing box foam is not as dense as what they make model planes out of.
I once had a plane that chewed a piece of wing tip out after a crash. I used a piece of shipping box foam and carved it to fill in the missing piece. Glued it on and taped it with wing tape to form a “skin” on it and to help support it onto the main part of the wing. Seemed to work OK but I wouldn’t make a whole plane out of it.
