Transmitter link

Hi all, I am new to flying rc aeroplanes. I have purchased the freewing pandora recently and am having trouble linking my futaba 6l sport to my futaba t-fhss receiver.

I have gone through the steps ie ...

The transmitter right next to the receiver, And tried further away. push the sticks together and down position then turn on transmitter. The light flashes on transmitter. Straight away power up the receiver. But the light just stays red on receiver. I’ve tried this multiple times but no luck.

both the transmitter and receiver are brand new/never been used.

i would really appreciate any advice as to what I may be doing wrong or what a should do next.

Can't help you with Futaba as I don't use it. However, if nobody answers you, try doing a Google search or a search on YouTube. Put in something like "How to bind a Futaba 6l sport transmitter to a Futaba t-fhss receiver".
