    Metal Earth

So for Father's Day my son got me two of my favorite birds, the P-51 and Corsair, in these tiny little sheet metal kits. Had never seen them before. I attempted to build the Corsair first... yes, attempted! The forming of the parts is fairly simple with some hemostats and a tweezer where needed. The hard part, for me, is the tiny little tabs that fit into pin holes! All I have on hand is my magnifying glass (in the pic). Which is hard to hold, keep in focus, and fit with my one free hand. So, this is as far as I've got until I can get the proper magnifier. My eyes are hurting right now. Tough little builds, but still an awesome Daddy's Day gift.

That looks like very intricate work. You need something like this:

Yours would come from Amazon.com and if they're anything like our Amazon, you could get them in a couple of days. I have a set that I use from time to time and they really come in handy.

YES! That is exactly what these old eyes need for this project. Thanks for the lead there, xviper. I'm on it...
