  • UBEC wiring/install.

Hello pilots, wondering about installing my bec if i can use a y-splitter by cutting +pos wire off on the esc plug that into the y-harness and also the bec into the y-splitter and then both into the throttle channel on my rx?
2nd if I have a twin powered plane (with 2 esc's) is it still necessary to use a bec? Does the 5amp internal bec's of both esc's = 10amp total for the servos?

    Thank you.

Carefully remove the Red power line in the throttle cable by releasing it with a small screw driver and pull it out. tape or heat shrink it back. You might need it someday. Then plug that into a Y cable that has the red line and the BEC into the other side of the Y and plug that into the receiver. The Y needs the red power line otherwise you can't power the receiver. Check Castle creations website for a diagram. Also, the amps available is completely dependent on the BEC itself and its rating. Two 5amp Bec do not step up the rating to 10. They can only handle 5 amps.
