RCTruth .com RIP?

I’m surprised at how much Email and PM traffic I've been getting on the apparent demise of the web site RCTuth.com.

Let me say I have no inside knowledge of the site. It appears that the domain name is up for sale.

Those that didn’t know of the site it was started as a place to learn about the idiosyncratic nature of the moderation of RCG and RCU. It would have dealt with issues like the banning of Shirty as a result of the whims of the the RCG management.

It also cut into the back rooms of the financial reason for the apparent uneven exercise of the posted and non-posted posting guidelines. And it was a forum to tell the banned members side of the story. inevitably it also had some bitch sessions to allow the wronged to vent off some steam.

Being rather mono topic (RC forum sites) it got boring after a while (well other than the Bruce Simpson comedy). To try to counter this some of us tried to add model content to the site with real review and technical insights.

But I think the site failed as the administrator never got the new membership notification to work. Folks would sign up but never receive notice that they were accepted (the management did vet the membership).

So to the best of my knowledge the site RCTruth .com is gone.

Really never was anything of value there and nothing to miss at all. IMO

I never saw the value of the place myself. And half of the stuff purported to be the "truth" was false. I finally got tired of correcting the falsehoods, and only looked at it maybe once a month. It got to the point where it was the "COL. WINGS show", so I stopped looking. I had no idea it went away.
