Yes, Laurin, they did say that. When I call them from the club field next Sunday, I'll tell them "Sorry but it's federal law and I abide by the law. I don't like it any more than you!" We also fly from a soccer field which has MUCH more low flying air traffic than our club field and we're not required to call from there! The whole thing is so stuuuuupid! Doc

Lauren, I remember both of those shops. T&T Hobbies is where I was at in the early 90's. I am pretty sure we have flown together at sometime. This whole FAA & AMA BS has me very concerned as too whats next. I work for the VA hospital within the Law enforcement, investigations etc area and for me to get any kind of a write up that involved me breaking some FED law would be the end of my income.

T&T seems SO familiar....! In the early 90's my 3 boys were into RC cars so we were driving around constantly buying Tamaiya parts. LOL!

Yep! Back in business! I bet when I call KBWI tower and the local hospital heliport (never used that I've seen) the response will be what Doc got.... That's only for the local athletic field though. The other places we fly are all okay!

Lauren, I was sponsored by Tamiya in the early 90's T&T was over by the Glen Burnie hospital. I cant remember the name of the shopping center. I am sure your boys would remember me. I was the RC Car and Plane dude :) ... I built cars and did custom paint jobs for the bodies. I designed the rc car track at Friendship park over by BWI. We will have to chat sometime and chat about all the good ol days at DCRC and racing rc offroad cars..... DJ
