Newbie here, failing to connect the Futaba T6L with R3106GF receiver

So i just got the Fw-190 D-9 as my first rc plane and got the Futaba T6L with its included receiver, and just about finished building it and charged the battery that i got for it fully. I have now been trying to link the transmitter with its receiver for the past half hour (following the instructions over and over again) and dont seem to get it to work. I already plugged in all servo cables into the receiver and "turn it on" by plugging the battery in since there is no switch on the receiver, which makes the LED glow red. Can anyone help me try to figure this out?

Also forgot to mention that the manual says the receiver should blink red after turning it on, which it doesnt. The LED just glows red

Nevermind, it was my own stupidity/lack of sleep. I simply plugged the cable in the wrong way
