Indeed it does. Recently, a friend wanted to order a cheap little part for less than 10 bucks. It could have easily been shoved into a small padded envelope and mailed. Instead, FedEx shipping was 40 bucks and it doesn't stop there. Brokerage and tax is on top of that when it gets here. If in the US, no brokerage, but FedEx basic shipping charge is not cheap.

If you do ship Usps one ounce package 4x7x1/4 costs from $3.00 to $3.50 depending where in the states, now a one ounce letter will travel for .55c but if it's in anything but an paper envelope you pay out the A$$.
So is it really cheaper and the wait time for it to start moving in the system, not worth it nether.

Shipping cost is $5.99 to California for one small servo. Too expensive.

That's actually quite reasonable. For the same thing to Canada, it would be $40.00. If you don't want to pay for shipping, all you need to do is go to your local hobby shop and buy any 9g digital servo. It doesn't have to be a Freewing. But then, how much gas and wear and tear on your car to get to the hobby shop? $5.99 is a bargain.
