I just don't understand it. There a stack of spittys already available by different manufacturers at 1200mm or less. Why add another one in a already competitive market? Now try finding a foamy spitfire at 1400mm or bigger. Apart from the fms one (which I wouldn't fly if one was given to me), there's nothing.

I don't get it, produce yet another 1200 in a flooded little 1200 or smaller model market, or produce something in the larger scale - that has no competition whatsoever for customers dollars? Like most of you, I fly at a big club, and Perth is the 3rd windiest city in the world. A 1200 is great for a little park I guess, but where's the models for the serious RC flyers? Surely the success of the p38 shows there's a heap of people that buy them. (If fms wasn't already enough of a example)

Don't mind me boys, Just a bit disappointed. Been waiting for a nice big scale spitty for literally years now.... And still nothing... :(

For what it's worth Shirty, we feel your pain. Manufacturers are gun shy when it comes to the costs of producing larger molds. The smaller class are cheaper to produce AND they sell boat loads. This is why the success of the FlightLineRC P-38 is so helpful to show the manufacturers how popular the larger class can sell as well, especially when it's a classic AND done right.

Speaking as myself and not on any official record coming from Motion RC, keep the hope alive, I have a good feeling we will see a larger Spit in the future.

I am hoping Freewing follows up the P-38 with a 1600mm P-61 and A-26. It seems to be the perfect size for these big twins

I'll go on record to say that I'll buy any 1700mm+ U.S. Warbirds that MRC releases...and maybe a few Allied and Axis depending on the plane, Spitfire and ME-262 for sure.

              I'm with you guys!
I'm holding out for the 1400mm or bigger planes. If its smaller, in my mind, I hear, "Yes, but..."
Maybe we'll see a 1400mm Bearcat yet, or a Hurricane.
Anyone ever thought of the CF-105, better known as the Avro Arrow? The first plane to do mach 2?
A jet that was so far ahead of its time, that politics got in the way and The Defenbaker government of Canada had them destroyed and bought the Bowmarc Missle System instead. A move they came to regret.
Ahh, now that would get to some people, just to have one in the air.
Think it wasn't political, after they made the movie about it (Starring Dan Ackroyd) they wanted to chop up the full scale mock up they used, but fortunately, a museum got ahold of it before hand.

              An interesting plane.

I'm not much on post WWII planes but I would definitely be interested in a Corsair II.

I'll settle for 1400 or greater:

I'll settle for 1/8 scale(1400 or greater) OV-10, OV-1, A-4 cause these Nam birds need to be recognized and then seconded by a P-39, Spitfire and a 5 blade Sea Fury.

The only issue that I've had is with the nose gear oleo sticking on compression but that is because our runways are grass and those smaller front tires really spin up some dirt so I keep the oleo lubed with silicone quite frequently. As a matter of fact, I silicone all my birds oleo's on a regular basis anymore along with checking them after every flight to ensure that the retaining/stop screw or pin is good.

U BETCHA Dan, since I'm not hauling and repairing Shovelhead Harleys on the side anymore it makes for a great rolling hangar for Warbird's fleet when going to an out of state event.

Sunrise flight of my 1700mm Ferocious Frankie today. Love this bird! Pardon the unbalanced prop...had a ground strike on my first flight due to a cross wind mistake.
Anyway, what a beautiful sunrise today here in N. Texas.
