    gyro hop at landing?

Guys, i've putting Spektrum AR637t receivers in the freewing jets and it seem like they all hop on landing if i land with any bounce at all. I feel like the AS3x is over-correcting, but maybe i'm just not very good at landing, but my eflite planes don't do it nearly as bad or as much. I've got the gain set to adjustable and have it turned way down as well, but still getting this stupid bounce.
Has anyone run into this and does anyone have any advice...? Please advise - thank you in advance...

There are lots of reasons for a hoppy landing. To determine if it is the gyro, you can easily turn off the gains either outright or for a given flight mode. If the hopping happens with the gains off, then the problem may be your approach speed or something else mechanical.

I put the gain adjust on right knob when programming a PNP, but gain changes are only effective when not in SAFE mode as far as I can tell. Do you know this to be true...?

Also, I'm pretty sure the 'gyro hop' is actually more operator error on landing than anything. I'm finding that i need to keep the power up on touch down, and have a smooth touch down, and then kill the power. They don't seem to hop when that is followed... 😆

Do not confuse bank/angle limiting in safe with the gyro in as3x. As3x is on when in safe mode and the gains are in effect for that mode. Gains are only adjustable when the receiver is set up for the gain to be adjusted. This is Relative mode for the particular gain. Depending upon how the receiver is set up the flight mode assigned to provide Safe Leveling may or may not allow for the gains to be adjusted.

AS3X is designed to dampen or eliminate uncommanded input. Safe will.intervene in commanded inputs to keep the plane in a specific orientation and bank envelope.

Thanks man! I appreciate the wisdom and it helps!
