On my new FMS P-40B the new version has a battery tray that is difficult to get over the two stops on the battery tray track. Should I sand them a bit or use something like paraffin to lubricate them to make it a bit easier to slide the battery tray out.

I guess I answered my own question about the sticky battery tray. I rubbed a little paraffin over the battery tray track stops or bumps at the back of the tray tracks.
            Works great now.

              Hello flyall,
I see that you joined about 2 years ago but this is your first post so welcome to the Squawk.
I would probably go with the paraffin because knocking the tab down would be a premature wearing which will happen over time anyways because it is plastic.
There is a thread with all kinds of info on this bird located here:

OK pilots, the time has finally come to let ya'll know what my decision is on the selection of the LA-7 or the Hawker Sea Fury but before I get to that I want to thank all the pilots for the congratulations that were bestowed but most importantly I want to thank the team at Motion for taking that extra step in showing their appreciation of their present and future customers who participate in the exchange of information and camaraderie of this sport on the Squawk.
Now for me the choice was basically a sizing thing. Now the LA-7 is a very intriguing airframe and sporting those red stars it would certainly fit in the hangar next to my Antonov AN-2 but here's where I gotta let you down Airzipper even though you did have a nice long please in your request. Even though the majority of my fleet is 1/8 scale, after seeing some pics of it sitting next to the FlightLine P-38 which is the same scale at 1/10 the Hawker Sea Fury was a no brainer because the P-38 is next in cue of my purchases(saving the gig monies) and they both will look sweet next to my LX B-25 which is also 1/10. So that's my selection guys, the Hawker Sea Fury and I will give a product review here on the Squawk of what I think about it. It will be going in the build line behind my mods that are in process on my Dynam ME262 and FMS T-28v3 for oleo struts. So I expect the maiden will probably occur not until late April/early May because the club runways won't be back in action till then.
Just some G whiz info - the starboard main strut on the FMS mustang is a perfect size fit on the nose gear for the ME262 mod and it also has the correct look.
                  Best regards,
                  Warbird Charlie

                                    Hello Pilots,
So the Big Brown truck rolled up to the real Brown's hangar with a Sea Fury slated for Warbird's fleet. Now I generally don't put pics of myself out on the web but in this case I had to make an exception to show off the boyish grin from receiving the first thing I have ever won in my life. I also wanted to let you guys see that it is also getting a proper greeting and making acquaintance with another roundel sporting hero that I call Mark Two. This coming Monday, April 4th is our monthly club meeting and this months program is "Winter Build Review" where anyone that built/assembled a new plane brings it for Show N Tell. The Spitty behind me is one I have ready and now that the Sea Fury is here I gotta make it ready for the show too. So I got four days to assemble and photo as I go and of course report the progress here on this Squawk thread of my opinion of this new FlightLine release. I took a quick peak inside the box and the bottom of the starboard wing looks really nice. Really can't imagine this build will be taking very long even though I am painstakingly anal about setups. More to come..........
                                    Best regards,
