Gman - It's the 1/8 scale 55inch(1400mm) span PHOENIX Models balsa ARF. Got it @ Tower and used FMS 4250-580kV motor and the FMS Ferocious Frankie spinner/prop. Completed cost $225. Am really impressed with it and got it mainly because I was tired of waiting for a 1400 sized foamy Spit to come back into the market.

Hey, I looked at that as well. My thinking was that if they are going to lean towards small planes, then maybe it time to take a look at some of the other offerings out there. How's the L/G look on it?

Hey OV10 hows the build on the Sea Fury going?

Gman - the L/G on the Phoenix Spitfire is mechanical with actual functioning oleo struts. Before actually getting the bird I was going to go with FMS etracts but after seeing how nice these mechanicals that came with the plane are I decided to use them with a Spektrum A7040 retract servo.

Crunch - just finished the Sea Fury after running into a little snafu but am going to get all my notes and pics together and publish my build review later today on this thread followed in a couple weeks with the fight review once we reopen the club field. We just got TWO INCHES OF SNOW last night here in my neck of the woods of upstate NY which means with cold temps and frost again that our runways will need me to roll them again.....damn winter just go away.

Awesome! OV10, can I get you to make this it's own thread though? I think your Build Review of the Sea Fury deserves it's own thread...Would you mind cut and pasting your post into a new thread?

Great review OV, I wouldn't want the snafu finding itself to an inexperienced builder either. The good news is that you have the skills to rise to the challenge and solve the problem so that others have an answer. Great job Buddy
