2 blade vs 3 blade prop

I know all the theories about this, mainly 3 blades are less efficient, but has anyone out there done actual flying comparisons? Has any one done static tests with a digital fishing scale? No speculations, please. Just the facts. Thank you, the doctor

Usually the accepted formula for this is when going from a 2-bladed prop to a 3-bladed prop you drop 1" in diameter and up the pitch +1 so going from a 12 x 6 2 blade you'd want to go to an 11 x7 3 blade. On the Zinger website there is a big chart for this and going to a 4 bladed prop as well.
