  • A3 gyro upside down ok?

Hi, everyone - I've finally got around to setting my Hobbyking glue'n go Mig 29 up with an A3 gyro.
I have found a video with one on Youtube by (bless him!) Brian Phillips out in Indiana. He is flying his with the A3 gyro UPSIDE DOWN! Does anyone know if there are any particular snags with this, or is it just a question of 'localising' the settings on the flashing light set, i.e. in reverse?

For example, if you mount it upside down, roll gyro response is the same but pitch and yaw gyro response needs to be reversed. If not reversed, you'll fly the plane into the ground very quickly. Always check and confirm stick AND gyro response before taking to the air.

If you read the instructions you will see that upside down is a perfectly acceptable way of mounting it. I strongly recommend reading instructions if you want to get the most out of the hobby.

I gather that you are in Wales. I thought it was only Americans who didn't read instructions.

another no sh*t with an amen to that - read them multiple times until you understand them, especially as3x and safe programming, and then go put it to practice multiple times until you think you've got it. Then you can go fly... My buddy started about the same time i did and i sold him my basically new NX8 with the manual and i still have to drive 2 hours each way to fix stuff and show him how things work, and i know he can read... he just won't...
