lol.... perks of having a plan B income. Love the fact that I do not have to take away from my family to enjoy this hobby. We have had a rough time of it these past few years.... but things turned around for us. Appreciate you guys.

SWEET! I love those A-10's. One of the best ground attack birds ever made. That's a really nice model. Looked full scale in the sky. I kept waiting to hear "bbrrrrrrrrrrtt!"

          Hello Prowler,
Great dialog of the sound effect for the gatling. I can still remember that same sound coming from the A-7 gatling back in the 70's when the Nimitz gave an airshow to the king/queen of Spain when we were in the Med. You'd see the water churn and then hear the sound. More impressive though was when my squadron(A-6 VA-35) had 5 birds fully loaded with 500 pounders(that's 30 ea) for a total of 150 bombs get salvo(all at once) released two miles from the carrier and the explosive concussion was freekin unbelievable.

Welcome to the world of junkies Al !!!! You are taking the right approach to getting into this fun filled world . The best advice I can give is take your time don't try to jump too fast .

You are going to crash ,we all have and will . Don't let it get you down !!!! Your first plane needs to be tough and durable, there planes built for that . They aren't fancy but they are fun.

Think ahead , what do I plan to get further down the road . So invest in at least a SIX channel radio that will give you some features and allow you to add planes to it so your not buying different radios . I know it sounds costly but you'll see the payoff without spending the $100 on one when $160-$200 will have been the better investment . I learned this the hard way .

As you explore you'll find there are a few things that will fall into this type of thinking , chargers, power supplies and others .

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE !!!!!!!! You have a beautiful family ......

https://vimeo.com/128313050 This is a little of my learning a few years ago .

Every time I landed I had to go pee and sit down from shaking LOL

LOL! I remember that Bryan!! Especially with the AT6!
Man, I remember sweating out the Pandora flights and smacking both of them up on separate occasions!
First year was Ol' Weedwacker and just into the Pandoras near the end of the season.
Last Season: Started with the Pandoras and flew the pooh out of them until going for flight training. Oh yeah, and the Wacky Waco too!!
After flight training, it was a whole new ball game. Got my first flights in on the P51B while at the course and got home and got BBD into the air as well as Old Crow.
Three Mustangs up, then the Pitts as well, a great season.
This year, year three for me. Getting to fly the whole fleet including the New P40B and, yes, yet another Mustang!
                    I'm a self admitted Mustangoholic.

How could you not laugh at that !! When I built that plane I made the elevators level just like we do on most planes but this one needed a little up in it . I had gave it a good bit of trim but was just gonna land adjust and try again . As soon as I came out of the throttle it dove and picked a double door porta-jon as it's stopping point . I could not have flown it into it if I tried .

That's why we love him. I think Bryan brings a dose of reality every once in awhile. But, hey give him credit, at least he didn't have to cut down a tree!
Bryan, keep up the good work, buddy, I love the fact that you have enough balls to show your bad flights as well as the good ones, which by the way, vastly outnumber the bad ones from what I've seen.

Love it.... the man cub and I are destroying planes left and right on the simulator. A few good landing for me but needless to say we are having a blast on the 60"..... Hoping to be flying soon and yes.... an hour a day is what I said but highly doubtful it will be that short.... playing it by ear...ahahahahaha.
