I am back....lol. Wow what a ride.... Still working on the simulator right now but hoping to get my trainer up and running by April to take it out for my very first flight. To be honest it was a black Friday deal and is an FMS Cessna clone. Going to throw in a gyro and get to it. The LX A10 is in mothballs and looking to pick up the new freewing A10 for the pre-sale and start doing the detail work with it.... Cockpit, weathering, ect until I get a handle on this flying stuff lol. One thing I am loving is that this will be something to do with the man cubs. It will be like building a large scale model but eventually we will get to fly it....ahahahaha. Anyways. Glad to be back.

Your most welcome. Can't wait to get flying. We also plan on doing the DIY thing for park flyers as the nearest field is 1.5 hrs away so Flite Test park flyers will have to do for now and save our ARF's for the air field. Thank you again for the warm welcome and to be honest.... watching the MotionRC videos and Flite Test video's started something in me and a vision for my family and I.

New life goals and financial plan in place for Daddy:

        1. RF simulator.... Check
        2. FMS clone.... Check, Just needs to be put together with gyro
        3. DIY park flyers for added training
        4. Pre order the new Freewing A10 1700mm

LX A10 will be in mothballs for a later project(pusher prop) and while I am learning the ropes of flying.... scaling the Freewing A10 with the man cubs. This is the plan for 2017

        Long term:

        1. FMS 1700mm Corsair Maybe fall 2018
        2. GJC Turbofoam F16N with MARINES aggressor clothing #42 fall 2019
        3. GJC F18 1/8 scale USMC when I can fly the turbofoam jet proficiently.

For the man cubs of course

        1. Flite Test STEM program
        2. RF Simulator
        3. DIY Flite Test planes (until they catch the bug)
        4. Daddy's trainer with buddy box
        5. Whatever they want to save up for.

Life goals and life changes lol.

Great goals! Wow those GJC jets are sweet! Would love to have one of those. Never flown a turbine. Love that F-18! What's yet another scale model to fantasize about? I can make room! LOL

Yea they are. I was thinking turbine for longer run times eventually. Last year fathers-day I received the book "building with foam" so when I eventually found these foamies in turbine... I got excited. From what I understand, foam sometimes can be repaired while composite is almost always a fail. Also got excited when I had seen that the MARINES had a chance to fly the F16N since I trying to stay with that theme and would love to use it as a trainer for the F18 being the narrow landing gear. I do want a composite eventually.... but that will come in time.

GJC is marketing them as an everyday flyer for those who already have composite planes... my guess is a the crash and repair and with it being lighter model.... it can be flown more often. Who knows.... I just want one!

Well looks like I will be selling my FMS clone Cessna trainer and my Blitz works A10, both BNIB. Looking to get the FMS Super EZ from MotionRc. Looks robust and love the landing gear. Also I was looking at the reviews and love how it performs. Hoping for the best! so many options lol.

lol.... Yea me too.... I have a 14.5 inch laptop but that would not cut it. We use the big screen for business presentations in our house so I bought an old lenova pc hooked up to it for web business training as well. Also we got a smoke'n black Friday deal on it. It is all about a budget and a plan b income. ;)

What are you thoughts on the Super EZ or should I just use the FMS clone with gyro?

Well the FMS sky trainer with a gyro isn't a bad option especially if you already have it...

Yea.... I was thinking the same thing. Only issue would be the wing.... taking it on and off for transportation. The EZ seemed just a tad easier.

lol... yes I am pulling my hair out ahahahaha. Also I will be using it for the man cubs and mostly using it at the park. I want to use something that is easy to repair and if needed hot wire my own wings.
