  • Finally Decided Which Plane

I guess there is some benefit to being sick for 5 days now and confined to the house. I have been researching the next plane I want. I have been torn between the HobbyKing Pietenpol Air Camper v2 and the Sig Kadet Senior Sport 78" ARF.

Well I decided to go with the Sig Kadet Senior Sport ARF (Blue) with an electric setup.

I plan on using this but not locked in yet so advice is welcomed.

Emax GT4030/06 500kv 1400 Watt Outrunner Brushless Motor
Sky Power 80A ESC with Switchmode BEC
Futaba S3010 Standard High-Torque BB Servo
APC 13x6.5 Prop, Maybe 14x10 depending on ground clearance, watts,
    6 Cell 4500mah battery

From what I have read and heard from others that the motor I have selected may be too much for this plane. Anyone have any thoughts?
Also what do you think about the servos I have selected?

I think the Kadet is a good choice. I like both, but I this one has more versatility and is a stronger airframe. As for power, you can always throttle down if it has too much, which in my opinion is better than running at full throttle all the time. It should be a really nice flier!!
