  • Inexpensive build/work table

I put together this table for under $100, two sheets of 1/2" OSB (wafer board), four 2"x6"x8's, three 2"x4"x8's and two 4"x4"x8's. I got the 2'x2' carpet at a surplus store which can be removed for dirty work.

Nice table. The carpet is a neat idea. My bench is topped with 3/4" 4'x8' MDF. Nice smooth surface.

Very nice table. I'm not much of a carpenter and it's too much work for me. I have 3 table that I use. One is a table base from another table that we got rid of. The surface is a large, old, outside house door. Another one is an old light metal folding table that I plopped an unused bi-fold door (knob removed) on top. The last one is an old 6 sided card table with it's wooden cover on top.

Very nice table. Have been thinking I need more work space in my garage/ shop. Decided the boat may have to start living outside. I think I will build your table.
        Thanks for a great idea!
