Thanks! It was the maiden flight for the Lancaster and it did not disappoint! Took quite a few mods to get to flight, but they have certainly proven their worth. Was flying again this morning and my photographer got a few shots of my FMS P-40 as well to test the new camera.

You need to stay on the good side of your live in photographer because she's a great picture taker!!

              Hey Delta Dart!

If I didn't know better I would swear that P-40 is the real deal. Beautiful plane and photography.

My Mother has been my photographer for most of these flights, so I'm on her good side at least some of the time.. Always nice to see parents take an interest in the hobby, and spend time with them while I am in town. Unfortunately, I will be moving in about a month so hopefully I will be able to find a new photographer down in Texas.

I agree they're great photos. I had to look closely to realize its the 980mm version and not the 1400mm. How do you like it?

I really enjoy it. It can fly fast on 4S, or scale on 3S. Flies like a much larger airplane. The size makes it very easy to transport and store. On top of that, I can operate it from short grass without issues, which is more than I can say for most 1100mm airplanes. I also added a retractable tailwheel, and will be adding split flaps sometime in the future to bring it to the same detail level as the 1400mm version.

A few more pictures from flying my Durafly Spitfire Mk 1 and FMS P-51B this morning. It was quite breezy, but both handled the wind pretty well. It was great for the pictures though. Slowing them down in the headwind resulted in some of the best pictures we've gotten yet.

I was thinking the same thing. The one thing the Durafly has over the Flightline is that the wheels look like the real Spitfire wheels.
Something Flightline might want to look into when the 1400mm Flightline version comes out (Just dreaming guys, don't get excited, after all, no one wants a 1400mm, do they?)

I'm glad they're doing some new stuff in the 1200mm range. They are more in my price range and fit me better.

Thanks guys! Wishing I could get back out at the field and fly them again but the weather is not cooperating this week. I do hope some of the future flight line models get the gear done better. Struts and scale hubs really do wonders for making a model look scale, particulary when they have a very distinctive look.

I agree. 1200mm is more affordable and storable for me as well.
