I would love a Predator or Reaper. Excellent fpv platform and would look killer in the sky. Someone made a reaper with working missiles for RealFlight and I have a blast with it.

Are you talking about a model of the Predator drone? A fellow I used to fly with had a couple of them. They were made and sold by HobbyKing a while back but are no longer available. For some reason, those models flew like crap. They were underpowered and quite unstable. Of the two, he managed to get one nearly complete flight out of it. Both died horrible deaths. Something about scaling a Predator down into an RC model made them poor flying aircraft. Much more R&D would need to be put into the next one. Nevertheless, I seem to recall that the fan base for that model was quite limited, making it not worth while for a continuation or for anyone new to introduce another one.

Yeah. I saw hobbyking used to make one. Even one of the newer UAVs that are based more on aircraft would work.

A friend of mine had that Predator and I concur it flew like Kaka. We might have to look into that someday.

Several manufacturers and suppliers sell small UAVs (by small I mean under 55 pounds) or fixed wing camera platforms. They are usually of the pusher prop configuration so the camera and or FPV can be fitted in the nose without the motor and prop being in the field of view. A search of the internet will reveal lots of companies with prices to suit every pocket.

          Martin.

Yes, but as for scale Reapers, Predators, Global Hawks, or the X-47B there really isn't much out there. Would be nice to see a decent-flying scale UAV built.

The fanbase for any model that flies horribly is usually quite limited. A larger, more well designed model would most likely interest many more people.
