Here's where I recently got my Sonic 1875mm B-17 from:

    http://www.generalhobby.com/flying-f...ver-p-289.html

One word of caution, even though they appear to be "In Stock", I would call them first. This plane has been discontinued, and rumor is a V2 is in the works. When I ordered mine on January 29th, I did not get a shipping notice until February 4th. And then it did not actually reach the Post Office until a week later (my suspicion is that when they told me it shipped on the 4th, they actually still didn't have it in hand and just created a label to appease me as I was emailing them for an update).

I did eventually get my plane on February 16th, so all was well in the end, but this was my worst online buying experience ever. I would take this into account before deciding to plop down 3 bills for this plane.

Here's the build thread I did here:

This is really an excellent airplane. Easy to fly and looks very majestic in the air! I have 2 of these built and love flying both. Besides painting new schemes, I did some modifications that made it even better for me - such as a retractable tail wheel and a battery bay mod. Parts are available from a variety of sources. Distributors are Hobby King (Memphis Belle version) and General Hobby (Liberty Belle version).

General Hobby is showing them on sale for $299. It would not hurt to call and confirm stock:

I have a feeling these will no longer be available at all. I probably got the last one GH had. Although I hear a V2 is in the works.

A local guy was selling his 2000mm version last weekend for $400. If I had not already purchased mine I would have grabbed it.

If you weren't so far away, I could make one of mine available to you. I have a couple of NIB units.

Sent. I also PM'd him on RCG and gave him your contact info there.

Man, this would be such a great plane for Fliteline to bring out. 72 inches would give it the 'feel' of a bomber, not to mention the look. I'd love to get my hands on one of these as well. The only thing I'm not keen on is the panel lines, but I could fix that.

Grossman56, the panel lines can be filled relatively easily. I did it to both of my B-17s. I just used some filler and a couple of primer coats. They are much better looking planes with the fuselage panel lines filled in. There are some pictures in my blog:

Looks good Bob, now those panel lines don't take away from the realism. Such a great plane....

Thanks. I really love flying both of mine.

Put this one up earlier on RC Groups. Direct hit on Doomstown. Would have been even better if my second sortie hit it. I was much higher up and barely missed.
