  • Pinking tape and simulated sewing dots.

I am covering a 1/3 scale Cup and would like to use pinking tape and simulated sewing dots on the frabic. I am cutting the frabic with piking shears and need to know how to make the dots? thanks for your help. Dave Teich

I think what you are calling "dots" is rib stitching. Not sure how you'll do this on a model but if you're interested in how it's done full scale, check this video out.
http://www.ultralightflyer.com - Polyfiber - aircraft rib stitching. The folks from Polyfiber give us a quick lesson on how to rib stitch an aircraft wing.

The paint in a tube that is used for decorating t-shirts might work. Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Good Luck! Doc

hay for as simplpe as this sounds but a little hot glue dots or thick CA works wonders and look very close to rib stitching.
        good luck
