Robin olds and pappy are the only 2 pilots I could identify. Guess cause I've got a Corsair and phantom.. but the lower lh pic looks a heck of a lot like. Robin. Awesome 👍.

Wow! Looking great! Whenever you get him done, let me know and I'll pick him up to install in Hurry Home Honey! I'll add the helmet comms wiring harness like I've done for several P-47 and P-51 pilots to complete the look. You defnitely have the artist's touch! Sorry the print was a bit rough, but you have made him look as good as possible. I'll continue to use the suggestions Elbee has on smoothing out the print a bit on future projects.

            Cheers

            Davegee

Thanks guys! With this size, I can add a little more detail, like the wear on the Mae West. The print is a little rough but he looks pretty good so far. I'll have to get a picture with his arms on. Looks like he could use them for legs

Some work I've been doing on a slightly larger version of the pilot several of us have used in the 1600mm Corsair.
He started out black then I washed on a yellow. Interestingly, black and yellow make a green shade.

then, changed the color to more of a tan shade, again, a wash, not a solid color.

The beauty of this is that the other colors underneath come through slightly to enhance the overall look.
Here's the poor guy with his head between his legs, the helmet is black with the tan shade over it, you can see the difference the yellow made'
