Started assembling the Paratroopers So far, they go together very well.
The German figure's hands are attached to the arms, I just have to get the primer on them and start in on painting them. Debating whether or not to attach them after priming or after painting.
As for the faces, After priming and adding some basic color, I get serious with about three or four colors and blend mixes of each. Interestingly, when you spray the sealer on (I use Krylon matte sealer from Wally World) it really helps with the blending, don't ask me why. I'll post some pics of the colors I'm using to do the Paratroopers faces. I bought a set of interchangeable lens glasses on Amazon to zoom in on the faces. At first the figure's size seemed very small compared to the pilots, but you get used to it, every one you paint is better than the one before.
Here's all three of the Germans, so far...
What a difference a good sculpt makes. I have a picture of the Paratroopers to work with, their quality looks great as well.
Ed, which brand are these and where did you get them. Guys looking for such figures need to know the good from the not-so-good figures. Do they come in different sizes?
I don't know who made them but they come from a seller on EBAY.. yukoshop4you | eBay Stores BTW, they did not use white show laces, brown like the boots.
