My FW Old Crow and my H9 Old Crow. Love flying both! After having the FW Old Crow and reading Bud's book I had to do my bigger one in the same livery with Callie Graphics.

Looking good! Love the big Hangar 9 version! Now you just need the little Durafly version to complete the lineup. :D If you are anywhere near Wisconsin you should stop in for the Aiventure air show. Col. Anderson gives a Great Presentation of To Fly and Fight every year. It is certainly one of the presentation highlights of the show! -

I just got thru watching Air Warriors on The Smithsonian channel about The P51 I didn't know the drop tanks they used in Europe during WWII were made of paper and resin. The show was very interesting check it out.Comment

Yeah interesting, some of them were prone to leakage as well, that would make you feel comfortable! Guess they were cheap, now a days, they'd be commended for the fact that the were environmentally friendly!

Yep, she's sitting the basement raring to go with her new 650kv and 85 A Mantis ESC. Now we'll see just what she's capable of!
One the other front, we had My Little Gal in the air at Nefi, if you haven't seen the video that Lon or Ben Jack took, its worth checking out, if for no other reason, to watch Captain Mike fly her. If you listen close, he gives some great info on the flight characteristics of a stock FW Mustang and landing a warbird.
Because of the Flite Metal on her, I had to do some fancy CG'ing on her, which entailed putting a 1300 3s battery and some lead in the very front of the fuse hatch.
Mike was saying that there isn't much difference, if any, between 2/3 throttle and full with the stock setup and he was landing her at about half throttle.

Ah what a great moment, to actually hang with the guys, I still get goosebumps thinking about how cool it was!

Me too! Still have some in the basement by the work bench as well as my Monogram 1/32 scale Phantom Mustang. I keep thinking that they were bigger in my mind because I was smaller?!
Mind you, compared to the 1/48 scale, they were much bigger, the Airfix had a 1/24 scale P 51,ewwwwww!!!!!

I had the Phantom. But, I was really to young to appreciate it. I have no idea what happened to that model. I see them for sale sometimes. I really should find one. I've never been a fan of Airfix models... ACK!Comment

I did 1/18 scale models mostly. Since there were relatively few models in that size and most were pre assembled, it was up to you to scratch built new models. I had an Old Crow in that size which I had signed by Bud Anderson. And I thought those models were huge..Comment

21st Century Toys mad several pre assembled 1/18 warbirds, they are very detailed.

21st Century Toys, the BBI Elite Force line, JSI, and now Merit International. The newer merit models are very good, I believe trumpeter even picked up their 1/18 Dauntless and sells it in kit form now.Comment
