Hello all. I bought an Art Tech Yak-54 from Motion RC a couple of months ago. It's a good cheap little aerobatic plane. However, I am finding the "upgraded" brushless outrunner direct drive (no gearbox) lacks in power somewhat. It will hold a hover, but it needs near full throttle to do so. It will not punch out of a hover. Anyways, I am looking for a motor that I could use as an upgrade so i can get a bit more power out of it. I'm not talking about a .10size. That would be too heavy. I'm thinking maybe a 480size 910kv outrunner would do the trick, but I am not really sure because I have no idea what the stock motor is. I can't seem to find any info on the non gearbox Art Tech Yak-54's motor. It's not on the motor and it's not on the wires indicating measurements or kv rating. Anyone have an idea?
