We headed for Riverton Wyoming on Saturday to attend the 14th Annual Fly In put on by the Wyompas Club there. Great field and a great bunch of people. They had a greand prize of an E Flite T28. The big one, no less. Pretty cool. We were close but no cigar on the win. I had Big Beautiful Doll, the Spitfire and the Pitts there.
The Pitts started acting up, I couldn't believe it as I've had her over to our field flying thre or four times since Nefi and she was fine. But, right in front of a crowd, she stood up on her nose and chewed her prop off on a take off run. I ws hold in back elevator and I just could believe it. I'm thinking that the self tapping srews that hold the inner side of the wheel pants are catching the tires as the DB's don't have a wide hub to push it off them. I put washers in to make up for that, but it looks as if it wasn't enough. Anyway, the sapre gear is on her and sh'e ready for the air again.
There was some pretty cool planes there as well as helicopters which are really something to see fly. Jeff and Kenny from our club were there as well so we had some representation.
