Just joined the forum, and also just started my journey on the RC Plane superhighway..
My name is Dave I like food, building stuff, electronics and now I have added RC planes to the list 😎👍😜
I have some questions if anyone is interested...
What started my journey in this hobby was finding a Craigslist ad that was selling five planes and a bunch of other RC gear including a dx6i spectrum controller a whole bunch of receivers etc.
So I've made some mistakes along the way I painted the trainer plane with regular spray paint and it ate through the foam, made it look like a thousand BB's went through it and after that I didn't fix any of the other plans yet, I do have all the gear though and all the planes, but what I bought was a havok (from motion rc's) a havok and an EFxtra from HobbyKing motion RC is my go to place...HobbyKing had gotten me took me up top and I had to open a PayPal dispute I bought the EFxtra then they wanted IDs from my wife and I because I happened to use the card with her name on it and then after the dispute I finally got my plane...they put me through hell and I almost thought they were going to keep my money...until I opened the PayPal dispute...then they acted like they were sending it all along...needless to say I'll never ever hobbyking.com again..
So what I need help with my question is since I'm new I just tried maddening my first planes I've ever flown.... I do mess around with drones and flying smaller planes like toy planes but I tried to fly the havok...ugh new flyer yeah...so it went poorly...as soon as it left my hand it turned to the left turned upside down and crashed so I'm not sure what's going on ....is there anyone in Columbus Ohio with a club especially around the east side of Columbus...does anyone fly planes around me?? I need friends that fly that can help
