Seas just looking for the p51 thread tonight and couldn't find it. Maybe I overlooked it or didn't go back far enough. If anyone knows please let me know. I was looking for some information I had seen there before.

G'day Dewey,
We are all still here, mate.
I have been staying under the radar a fair bit as my Father passed away two weeks ago and I have been dealing with that and all the legal BS that comes along now.
My family is getting back on track.
It will be slow and steady but will be back in force sooner rather than later!!
Regards and respect
Daryl

Gentlemen,
I thank you all for you words of sympathy and encouragement and that is on behalf of my family as well.
Dad had been ill for a while and we all thought we were prepared but it still hit us like a brick between the eyes.
Doc, Dad never saw me fly but never missed a home race meeting when I was driving race cars. He was too ill to get to the flying field.
On the upside, Dad did get to see his beloved Grandson, my first child, Johnathan and Pa loved him deeply.
I will be getting another Mustang soonish and it will be renamed 'Pa's Angel' and it will carry Johnathan's photo for nose art. It will be a fictitious squadron but I do not think anyone will care too much when they know the history.
Dad loved horses and was a very successful jockey. He was only a short man who was not short on courage. [Mind you, I am only short as well and my first job was a jockey as well]
I am not sure as to what colour scheme the new P-51 will carry as I am tempted to go with a post WWII Australian scheme but that was just plain old factory silver.
When I get a better picture in my head of the scheme, I will put it up here and you can all tell me what is wrong with it.[lol] Just for the record, I will not care!
Once again for the words and care.
They mean a great deal to my mother, my wife Dolly, my son Johnathan even if he is only seven months old and to myself.
This is a wonderful world wide family.
Thank you my friends.
