Entire Hanger Ball Link swap out

I want to swap out my entire hangers worth of planes over to ball links. I have no idea what size rods these are. Does anyone know what all I would need to do this? All FMS 1400 planes. I know what I need I just dont know what sizes etc or if MRC carries all the gear to do it. Thanks

I hate to break it to you... they will only sell one per customer. I tried to buy 12. Nope! Doc

I think that they are all smaller than the 2mm or 2-56 threaded rods, so you would be looking at the two types with the brass threaded adapters. I've used them with JB Weld or Liquid Steel epoxy, rather than trying to solder them on, with success, so far. My LHS stocks the complete line, so I can compare; perhaps you have a shop near you that stocks them as well?

EDIT: pretty sure I used the ones for .032" wire, but you should measure yours; things change.

The FMS birds all use 1.4mm rods. I've used the ball links for the Freewing Old Crow on my FMS birds in the 1.2mm size and they work fine.

I swapped out to ball links on Big Beautiful Doll and Shangrila using 1.4mm, they worked fine.
