That Skyraider looks downright menacing up close. I walked around several of them that were parked on the flightline at Oshkosh this year. One forgets just how large this aircraft is. From a distance it looks like any other single engine warbird, but up close you realize how small the pilot is.

Yeah I noticed that too, that big back door gives it away.
Now, to be fair, there are some Skyraider models out there, but not many. Is there an Avenger in foam??
And that F7F Tigercat just begs to be the next twin engine release on the the FlightLine line.
Such a cool plane, I might have to risk divorce and get one if they come out!!!

The Skyraider isa big plane when you get close to it. I've sat in the cockpit of one in the UK. The Fleet Air Arm Museum has one.

I've been eyeballing the V2 Skyraider that HSD did, but I have seen that it has problems with the retracts, and I just can't justify the price that Dragon and BH are asking for it. I'd love to see FlightLine do a nice one in 1600mm.

A Tigercat would be very cool too. ForceRC hinted that FMS may have one in the works. As much as I like what FMS is putting out these days, I'd much rather see one from FlightLine.

And so far nobody has done an Avenger that I know of. Tengarang had started a thread on RCG asking for one, and Tom had chimed in on it, but only to give us an idea about how popular a plane needs to be in order for it to be profitable to make. I'm not a huge fan of the carrier born bombers, but it would still be a cool model.

Someone had a Skyraider at Apollo last fall. Good flyer, imposing, and looked great with all the ordnance on it. Retract issue, but other than that it looked really nice. Great candidate for weathering and giving it that trademark Viet Grime.

Warbird Charlie is up on his Skyraiders, so maybe he'll chime in on what is hidden in the fuselage of the real ones. He had an 'oops' at NEFI which resulted in a new Skyraider, this time in foam, I think it is and HSD kit.
Did everyone take the time to drool over the 30% Skyraider featured in the December issue of Model Airplane News??
                      That's a 180 inch wingspan my friends!!
Anyway, I'd like to see the look on Charlie's face if he ever got a chance to see that one in person!!
Personally, that F7F is the one I'm waiting for, what a beautiful plane, now I've seen some R/C planes, but way out of my price range. We have the F4F, F6F, F8F and the F9F, how about the F7F??!!

Starmax did one and was discontinued last year then the HSD version(sometimes inaccurately called V2) was released this year which is what Alpha is referring to. The cause for the V2 classification IMO is due to the speculation that the Starmax rights were bought by HSD. The foam surface texture on the HSD A-1 is really the standard to meet/exceed by the other manufactures. The only real weakness still is the retract as Alpha mentioned. Even though HSD incorporated oleo's, separate retract controller(no card inside retract) and solid aluminum retract frame, a simple pin that turns the strut 90 degrees is the weak link by coming loose and falling out at the most inopportune time. I recently incorporated a mod to that pin using a roll pin which had been incorporated and acknowledged by others as a good fix over on RCG.

I would much rather see FL use their talents not on a Skyraider(a good one already exists) but rather on a Bronco(that's if FMS drops the ball) or a Tigercat.
Alpha.............Please make me/us another great twin to get all warm and fuzzy about.

Dan.........The different variants of the Skyraider ranged from single seat fighter to upwards of 4 seats(2 cockpit, 2 cabin) depending on what role of CAS.
Pics are always worth a 1000 words.

Speaking of garage space, I really need to get out there and build some more plane racks. Seven new planes since the Mig arrived at the end of September. About to push my car out of the garage, and I can't have that! :D

Undoubtedly called Santa and Satan in the same house my friend!!!!!!!

Speaking of making a deal with the devil......... F7F!!!!!!

Ever since the first FlightLine planes came out, all I heard was ranting and raving about how great they are, got to see my first ones in Muncie last June and was impressed with the looks. Now that I have my own, WOW now I know what everyone is raving about. I LOVE my Bearkitty and an F7F with the same quality knocks another one out of the ball park.
I remember our conversation about a year ago when I said that I'd never seen so much enthusiasm over a plane than the P 38 was getting, even then and that the key was to figure out why. The answer is the outstanding quality of the airplanes that Flightline is producing, from aesthetics the flight characteristics, hands down the best IMHO!!

With the narrow fuselage on the F7F, based on 10th scale. Packing in all the goodies is going to be tight.
As a guess no dual batteries like the P38. Maybe a single 4c 5Kmah.

The other two at 10th scale should be downright roomy in the fuselage .
Yield to temptation. It may not pass your way again.
