  • 800mm Planes?

    Hi Motion Guys,

I have five 800mm warbirds, and just love all of them. They don't have all the features that the bigger planes do, but are great to just toss in the car and fly without having to pack a lunch to go to a big field. Earlier this year in a thread on RCG, one of your competitors mentioned that there were some new 800 coming "before the end of the year". I haven't seen anything yet, and several of the current ones look like they are being discontinued.

Do you have any information on this? I would love to see some V3 800's. You can tell the quality changes FMS made in the V2's from the earlier 800's (like the P-51) to the later ones like the FW190.
I hate that motorcycle they make me ride. I'm here to tell you, there ain't nothing in the world I hate more than that elephant under my ass.

Hi FLTRI, hope you're well. I agree the 750mm-800mm wingspan warbird series fill a fun niche for inexpensive and easy to transport aircraft in a compact size. As far as we're aware, there are no current plans at FMS to release a V3 of their 750mm-800mm series. The V2s aren't very old in terms of product lifecycle, so I would estimate it's still a ways away.

Thanks Alpha. I'll just keep my current fleet in good repair. I flew the 800 Spitfire along with my 1030 Staggerwing today. Both are just so much fun!
