      again , excuse the grinding i hate that sheet ! i check the ESC - cold , i check the 14.8v bat. - cold , i pop the prop and crowl off , i could only touch that motor for 1 sec. - HOT ! , That proves you can't trust manufactures specks ! , 740w's my azz ! more like 380 give or take i bet , sheeesss ! https://youtu.be/5-t3vDdNBEQ

          The way you opened up that model, you should have more than enough air flowing around the motor. Does the motor turn easily when the power is removed? Any rubbing in the magnet area? You should really get a Watt meter and measure it, just to be sure. If there is something dragging, it will cause the power to go up quite a bit.

            WintrSol Thank You again , it's got to be the motor , ! i am going to replace it , it just want do the job , i need some thing around 550 600 watts ! , i been thinking about a rim fire ? or an Elite 25 ! ? so , i am going to maiden any way with this motor that's on it ! i just got to see want she is made of and i ain't scared to push her , hehe ! it's on baby ! it pull the crap out that model with a 10 X 6 , and i been running a 3 blade high thrust 10 X 6, !!!               A quick run through ElectriCalc shows this motor with a 10x6 and 4S should be pulling approximately 47 Amps and 583 Watts. Prop RPM about 12100, pitch speed 66 MPH and about 5 pounds of thrust. This is all a reasonable setup, as long as proper cooling air is directed through and immediately over the motor. ty , G-Walker ♥

                    Notes on video say a 5000Kv motor - probably a typo, and was a 500Kv motor; 5000Kv motors are usually found in EDF jets. A scale 3-blade prop would be 15" or 16". So, maybe a 16x8x3 prop on a 500Kv motor on 4S at ~50A/800W may let it hang like that, if it is light enough. Makes me wonder what the details really are, as that is an impressive model.

                    I don't know how it can be considered 1/5 scale, since the full scale wingspan is 36', length 29'. I note it does not say 1/5 on the sales page, just the page address. Still, at less than 4 lbs, 800W may be able to hang it by the prop.

                      came with 50amp esc , 14.8v 20c 2200mah , 10 x6 3 blade HT , 2650/950KV , All Dynam ! and would do vertical 3/4 throttle , bad air flow burnt it up ! never crashed though ! 60" ws just under 5lbs , this model is Discontinued and has been for quite some time ! ty G-Walker ♥

                        Yes, it occurred to me that the actual prop diameter would be about 11 inches to be the same scale, which is actually 7.2 (36'/5'). My math says >900W at >55A, peak, with that stock setup, assuming good efficiency; a lot of power for a 2650 motor. It may have overheated on extended verticals, even with more air. I assumed you used a 2-blade prop on your test; three blades increase the power estimate to nearly 900W at 55A. That would explain a hot motor; adding a third blade increases the power by about 40%.

                        At 5lbs, you will need more than 750W to hold a vertical. You can get that from an E-flite Power 32 (4250/770Kv) on 4S, if you use a 12x9x3 prop, or a 14x8x2 prop. I got just under 800W max from that motor, battery, and the 14x8x2 prop, BTW. Staying with the 10x6x3 prop, you would need a 6S battery to go over 750W; unfortunately, it would be over 1000W, and would cook the Power 32 motor.

                          once again my online research has not fail me , after looking in to discontinied on the 10 yr old model , i have found the motor that came with it , 950kv, now , maybe i can get some sleep ! ty G-Walker ♥

                              I would try a battery that can handle the amp draw. I've had heat caused because the ESC is trying to transfer current that isn't there because the battery is exhausted. You will also cause the battery to swell. If it were me I would go with a 4s 40c 25-2700 mAh. It will cause less stress on the motor and esc
